Walnut Slab Table with Dovetail Keys
Interest fact: Dovetail keys, as seen here on this walnut slab table, are not only a mark of excellent craftsmanship, but also serve a functional purpose. Here dovetail keys serve as a mechanism to stop the board from splitting further. In the case of this table, the dovetail keys were needed to ensure the splitting on the end of the board did not continue towards the middle of the table.
At our shop we do all types of cabinetry and furniture; thus rarely ever making the exact same piece twice.

Custom Wood Experts is a small woodworking company established in Los Angeles back in 2006 with 3-5 employees. We have had some of the same employees for over 17 years. Our experience is very broad in the woodworking sector, ranging from intricate small furniture to large commercial decks.
